March is here, and with it, we're finalizing the details to ensure Jamones Aljomar shines brightly at Alimentaria 2018 , a very special edition as it coincides with our 25th Anniversary. The fair will open its doors in less than two months, specifically from April 16th to 19th at the Gran Via venue in Barcelona, and Aljomar's acorn-fed Iberian pork meats, hams, and sausages will be there in the Intercarn Pavilion , the meat and meat products show. For us, Alimentaria has been a unique professional event for many years, one we simply cannot miss, as it is the most important fair in the food industry and has a strong international presence. Furthermore, our brand and the Iberian pork products we offer are always highly praised by the professionals who attend the fair. This is a source of pride for Jamones Aljomar and an incentive that motivates us to work harder and better each time to improve our offering to consumers. And this year will undoubtedly be the most special because we're attending Alimentaria as part of the brand's 25th Anniversary celebration, supported by our prestigious ambassador, the renowned chef Martín Berasategui. This esteemed chef joined the Aljomar Family in 2017 to promote the excellence of Aljomar acorn-fed Iberian meats and hams and elevate them to the pinnacle of national and international gastronomy. Stay tuned because we promise many surprises at this year's event . But first…
The Export team visits the Asian market
Alimentaria is right next door, although we have other important international events to attend first, such as Foodex Japan, from March 6 to 9, 2018, at the Makuhari Messe International Convention Complex (Makuhari Messe) in Chiba (near Tokyo). The 43rd edition of this international trade fair dedicated to the food and beverage sectors attracts a large number of leading professionals from the food industry, including wholesalers, retailers, supermarkets, catering companies, beverage importers, and restaurants. The fair has been held since 1976, making a significant contribution to the development of the food industry; it is not only the largest in the Asian region but also in the Pacific Rim, and the third largest in the world. It is truly an essential event in the Asian market. In previous editions, Jamones Aljomar has observed that ham, cured meats, and Iberian pork are highly valued by Japanese consumers. Specifically, Aljomar products are already a delicacy for many palates in the East, and are distributed in China, Hong Kong, Malaysia and Singapore.
