25th Anniversary of Aspas

The Salamanca Association of Parents of Deaf Children celebrated its 25th anniversary on Saturday at 11:00 a.m. in the Assembly Hall of Plaza de la Vega, with a reunion of members and their families.

The meeting brought together current member families, former members, and workers who have worked and currently work at the headquarters.

At the meeting, attendees exchanged experiences and stories, ending the day with refreshments. Aljomar, committed to the cause, gave away an Iberian acorn-fed ham with a professional ham carver.

ASPAS-SALAMANCA is a non-profit association, founded in 1982 by a group of parents with hearing-impaired children who, lacking an institution to turn to for guidance and to share experiences, decided to form an association, their main objective being to unify efforts to defend their interests and to integrate their children into all areas of society.

The Association of parents and deaf children has as its main purpose to obtain appropriate solutions to the needs that arise for the hearing disabled and their families for their fulfillment as citizens with full rights in society.
