Record sales and turnover of 80 million on Aljomar's 25th anniversary

Aljomar-balance-image Jamones Aljomar has closed its 2017 accounts consolidating strong growth and with consolidated revenue exceeding €32 million. Data collected up to December has foreshadowed excellent results in the annual balance sheet for this Iberian products company from Guijuelo and lays the groundwork for 2018 to also be a great year in terms of growth and brand recognition both nationally and internationally. To these figures must be added the sales from the El Navazo Slaughterhouse and Cold Storage Facility and the Vera Vieja Livestock Farm – both companies within the same Group – bringing the group's total revenue to over €80 million. In short, the positive trend in its figures over recent years places Jamones Aljomar among the top 10 Iberian producers in Spain . 85% of Jamones Aljomar's sales are through national distribution – in all autonomous communities and practically every province of the country. Internationally, its Iberian pork products reach 25 countries; acorn-fed Iberian hams, cured meats, and other Iberian pork products have successfully carved out a significant place in the culinary traditions of a wide variety of consumers. The secret to the company's success lies in Aljomar's Controlled Production and Processing Cycle, a source of pride for the Group and the cornerstone of its commercial consolidation. Everything is monitored and controlled internally, using its own resources: from the breeding and feeding of the Iberian pigs ( Vera Vieja ), to slaughter ( El Navazo Slaughterhouse ) and processing ( Factory in Guijuelo ), resulting in the consistency of the final product. The cycle employs strict control systems to ensure compliance with health requirements and traceability standards. Aljomar and its group directly employ more than 300 people, 50 of whom work at the Guijuelo factory. It is worth noting that in Vera Vieja, with farms in Retamal de Llerena and Campillo de Llerena (Badajoz), there are 3,500 purebred Iberian breeding sows , allowing Aljomar to supply its own raw materials. Throughout 2017, the group processed more than 50,000 pigs . Celebrating its 25th Anniversary: The year ended successfully, but the company expects even more from 2018 , as it will be focused on its 25th Anniversary , which will undoubtedly bring not only moments of celebration but also significant business growth. For all of this, it will have a prestigious ambassador, chef Martín Berasategui, who has joined the Aljomar Family to promote the excellence of its acorn-fed Iberian pork and hams and elevate them to the pinnacle of national and international gastronomy. Distribution and Presence at International Events: Aljomar will continue to expand its distribution channels, for which it already has more than 90 regional food distributors who recommend its products primarily to the hospitality sector and traditional and specialty stores . The brand's presence in the retail channel will continue to grow, and consumers will find it increasingly easy to locate Aljomar's exquisite products in supermarket chains that carry high-quality goods. With the start of the year, an intensive collaborative effort is underway that will bring great success and satisfaction to Aljomar's customers and lovers of fine Iberian products. The brand will maintain its presence at the most important international events in the sector —such as Fancy Food USA, Foodex, SIAL, and Alimentaria—and, in addition, in 2018 it will begin its tour of professional events , debuting at Madrid Fusión , from January 22 to 24. Healthy Eating and Social Commitment. On the other hand, the R&D department is already preparing new product launches, such as those focused on healthier eating, which will expand the existing catalog aimed at groups with special needs, such as people with lactose intolerance. 2018 will be full of new developments in all areas. And, of course, Jamones Aljomar, as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility policy, will maintain and increase its collaboration with organizations such as Pyfano, which supports children with cancer; the Spanish Association Against Cancer ( AECC ); Aerscyl, which focuses on rare diseases; the Blood Donors Association ; as well as Adaa and Red Madre , among others. It will also strengthen its Solidarity Product project, through which it donates a portion of its profits to these initiatives.
