The Aljomar Family is a member of this association with which, for the past four years, we have been collaborating to promote and enhance the continuity of these companies as an engine of the productive economy in the region and in the country. The Family Business Association was founded in our community, specifically in Salamanca, in 1997 and represents more than one hundred leading companies in their respective sectors, which together account for 15% of the GDP of Castilla y León and employ 7% of the population employed in the private sector. family business In Spain, there are more than 2.8 million family businesses, and 85% of them are nationally owned and family-owned. They represent 70% of GDP and private sector employment, employing more than 10 million people. The relevance and potential of these companies is undeniable for the Spanish economy and, hence, the importance of the work carried out within the Family Business Association. The training of managers and family members is the priority objective of this organization, in order to achieve maximum professionalization and competitiveness within a globalized and very demanding market.
