As you know, at Jamones Aljomar we are fully convinced of the nutritional quality of the Iberian products we manufacture and distribute. We promote healthy habits, and therefore, one of our corporate social responsibility initiatives focuses on disseminating sporting values. This explains our support for this Sevillian athlete, David Benito, who is also a great friend of the Aljomar Family and has kindly written a few lines for our blog:
THE SECRET TO SUCCESS IS CONSISTENCY IN PURPOSE
“Constancy, a word I proudly uphold, I like to be consistent in my goals, in all aspects of life. Sport is a way for me to focus on this trait of my personality, and cycling, in particular, has always been my passion because it demands sacrifice, discipline, and consistency, values that can be applied to daily life.”
Five years ago, I decided to take this hobby more seriously and set myself a series of personal goals. I started working with professionals , training diligently, and each year I've taken it one step further. My body and mind have adapted to cycling, the rigorous training, and the demands of competition. As a result, I've made great progress, both physically and mentally.
My last season has been a reflection of the consistency I pride myself on. Among the most noteworthy results are my 5th place in my category in the Spanish Cup – where I was participating for the first time – and 7th place in the Spanish Police Championships . In addition, I competed in the Andalucía Bike Race and the Costa Blanca Bike Race, and I reached the podium in several races in my region of Andalusia.
My journey through Spanish competitions has led me to accumulate more than 14,000 kilometers , between races and training, more than 500 hours of consistency and sacrifice to continue improving every day with the sole purpose of competing with myself and improving my own records.
My family and sponsors like Jamones Aljomar have helped make this task a little easier. I share Aljomar's philosophy of life and family business ; it's a model to emulate. It's a work ethic based on effort, responsibility, and the ability to enjoy what you do , allowing for progressive growth and success. The difficult part isn't getting there, it's staying there. Therefore, I am grateful for this sincere support.
The goals for next season are almost set: to consolidate my position among the best in the category and to compete in the Andalusian and Spanish Mountain Bike Marathon and Ultramarathon Championships , with participation in stage races whenever my work and family life allow it, both of which are my priorities in life.”
