This December 7, 2023, we celebrate our 31st birthday, and looking back we can feel enormously satisfied to have surpassed these three decades of existence, not only because of the great business milestone it represents, but because it is the reflection of a company that has evolved and grown while firmly maintaining its roots and its commitment to tradition and the natural environment.
The Aljomar family has become a benchmark in the meat industry , and their relationship with Martín Berasategui has boosted their excellence in Iberian pork and earned them national and international recognition. Passion, tradition, innovation, and solidarity are the foundations of their success and leadership in the Iberian pork sector.
At Jamones Aljomar, a charcuterie company in Guijuelo rooted in tradition, we maintain an unwavering commitment to the excellence of the Iberian pork products we produce. From our humble beginnings —with founders Alfonso Sánchez and his wife Carmen Sánchez—to the company's global expansion —led by their children José Luis and Carmen Sánchez—Jamones Aljomar is leaving an indelible mark on the world of gastronomy.
Today we export to more than 35 countries and distribute Iberian hams, shoulders, cured meats, and pork throughout Spain. The renowned international chef Martín Berasategui, who joined the Aljomar Family in 2017, is one of the greatest admirers of Aljomar Iberian products, which he has incorporated into his cuisine and recommends for their quality and excellent flavor. Furthermore, Berasategui, like the Aljomar Family, is fully committed to promoting and sharing Iberian culture worldwide.
And to commemorate this entire journey, throughout the past year we have held a series of events, through which the Aljomar Family has dedicated well-deserved time to the diverse group of people who have a relationship with the company. At the same time, the company's management has placed at the heart of these celebrations the values that underpin its daily work, such as perseverance, effort, quality, and tradition, perfectly aligned with innovation and the continuous updating of its culinary offerings to meet the needs and tastes of its customers.

First Meeting of Women in the Iberian Peninsula: Recognizing the Female Contribution
One of the first events was the 1st Women in Iberian Ham Meeting, a gesture of recognition and gratitude, in which Jamones Aljomar brought together more than 100 influential women in the history of the company and the sector. This celebration in Salamanca included a well-deserved tribute to the women who have played a leading role in Aljomar's history, beginning with the founder, Carmen Sánchez, and her daughter, Carmen Sánchez, Assistant to the Director . During the event, conferences and roundtables were held on topics relevant to women in the world of Aljomar, and Irene Villa was among the participants.
First Meeting of Partner Companies: Collaboration and Synergy
Another significant event in 2023 was the First Partner Companies Meeting, which brought together collaborating companies to share experiences and explore synergies. During the event, attendees had the opportunity to visit the Aljomar factory in Guijuelo and the facilities of the El Navazo Meat Complex, the largest in Europe. In addition, Fernando Salinero gave a presentation on "Seven Keys to Improve Your Business Starting Today," providing valuable insights for business development.
Team members and families: Opening doors to a stronger bond
Aljomar Hams' commitment to its team extends beyond corporate events. In June, the Aljomar Hams factory in Guijuelo also opened its doors to the families of its employees during the first Aljomar Open House. This initiative gave families the opportunity to see their loved ones' workplace firsthand, experience the company's philosophy and values, and strengthen the bond between employees and their families.
The events also included a gathering with the Aljomar team, where employees who have dedicated 15, 20, and 30 years of their lives to the company were recognized. These special moments highlighted the importance of the Aljomar family within the company and the loyalty and commitment of its team.

2nd Aljomar Commercial Congress: The perfect mix of work and fun
Finally, another of the most significant events of 2023 was the 2nd Aljomar Sales Congress, held in Salamanca in September. More than 150 sales professionals from the meat sector across Spain gathered for an experience that combined teamwork, training, and festive and emotional moments. Under the direction of Agustín Bravo, master of ceremonies, the event featured motivational talks, inspiring presentations, and the participation of international chef and brand ambassador, Martín Berasategui.
Social Commitment: Solidarity Actions
On the other hand, Jamones Aljomar stands out not only for its culinary excellence but also for its social commitment. In 2023, we continued to develop an intensive Corporate Social Responsibility plan with donations that reflect Aljomar's desire to give back to the community that has supported the company so much over the years.
The Aljomar Family prioritizes helping those who help others. With its 'It tastes great to help others' campaign and its Solidarity Product, it aims to contribute to the vital work carried out by hundreds of compassionate individuals in its local community, including non-profit organizations such as Pyfano (children with cancer), ADAA (Association for the Support of Families of Patients in the Balearic Islands), the Association of Deafblind People of Castile and León, Red Madre Salamanca, Fundación Querer, the Red Cross, and the Blood Donors Association.
