Salamanca will host an important event for companies in the region in the coming days: theIII Regional Congress of Family Businesses, which will take place onJune 16 and 17, 2016 at the Congress Palacein the city of Salamanca.Jamones Aljomar , as a member of this business association, has decided to sponsor and actively collaborate in the event. Among other welcoming touches, they have arranged for their ham carvers to be present at both the Gala Dinner and the Closing Cocktail Reception, treating guests to a tasting of exquisite acorn-fed Iberian ham from the Tributo Don Alfonso brand.
We're talking about the most important event of the year for family businesses in Castile and León, where most of the members will gather. Specifically, around 200 people are expected to attend the conference.
The Congress is sponsored by Banco Santander and PwC and has the collaboration of Vodafone, HPE and Willis .
On Thursday, June 16,José Miguel Isidro, the newly elected president of the Family Business Association of Castile and León , will inaugurate the congress. Following this, Bernardo Hernández, a Salamanca-based entrepreneur, business angel, and investor in technology-based projects (Google, Idealista, Tuenti, etc.), is expected to attend. Afterward, a round table discussion, in collaboration with the association's Family Forum , will explore the experiences of two generations of entrepreneurs, including the journey of Santiago and Ainhoa Salcedo (Aguambiente).Inma Shara, an internationally renowned conductor and composer , will be the featured speaker that afternoon, sharing her experience leading teams.
On Friday, June 17, another round table has been organized with non-family executives of the stature of Enrique Mozo (CEO of Grupo Flores Valles)and Oliver Hasler (CEO of Europac), andÁngel de León (General Manager of Business at the Global Exchange Group). The congress will conclude with a presentation by Siegfried Meir, a Holocaust survivor, who will undoubtedly offer a moving and unique testimony.
The Family Business Network of Castile and León was launched in 1997. Since then, it has experienced a growing evolution and currently brings together more than one hundred Castilian and Leonese family businesses, all of them leaders in their respective sectors, with a total turnover equivalent to 15% of the regional GDP and employing 7% of the employed population of the Community (private sector).
