The Guijuelo-based company Jamones Aljomar continues its unstoppable growth, capturing a significant share of the national market and consolidating its international presence, with operations in more than 25 countries. In the midst of the season and nearing the end of the year, we take stock of a record-breaking year for national and international sales: Revenue/Growth: Sales (2015 figures) have already exceeded €26.5 million, placing the company among the top 10 Iberian ham producers in Spain. The company has maintained stable growth in recent years, with an annual sales increase of over 5% each year, leading to projected revenue exceeding €28 million. The domestic market accounts for approximately 90% of its revenue, and the company has a presence in all autonomous communities, as well as in virtually every province in Spain, thanks to its primary sales channel: distributors. Channels/Marketing:
- Aljomar has over 90 regional food distributors, with whom they have maintained a close relationship over the past few years, who recommend their products mainly in the Hospitality channel and in traditional and specialized retail.
- Likewise, the presence of the Aljomar brand in the retail channel continues to increase and today the consumer can find it in several supermarket chains, as long as they work with high quality products.
- Their products are also a benchmark in the cash & carry channel in numerous provinces.
The secret to their success: production capacity and product consistency. The company's secret to success lies in Aljomar's Controlled Production and Processing Cycle , the pride of the Group and the cornerstone of its commercial consolidation. Everything is monitored and controlled internally, using their own resources: from the breeding and feeding of the Iberian pigs ( Vera Vieja ), to slaughter ( El Navazo Slaughterhouse ) and processing ( Factory in Guijuelo ), resulting in the consistency of the final product. The cycle has strict control systems to ensure compliance with health requirements and traceability standards. Aljomar and its group directly employ more than 300 people. Production capacity: The Vera Vieja farm, a subsidiary of the Aljomar Group and responsible for the Animal Production area, currently has more than 3,100 purebred Iberian breeding sows on its farms in Retamal de Llerena and Campillo de Llerena (Badajoz). This number increases every year as the group's farms and facilities expand, resulting in near self-sufficiency in raw materials. In total, the Aljomar Group's production exceeds 50,000 pigs annually (bred and slaughtered).
