THE ALJOMAR CASE
In our case, we have not only been encouraged to vote; but we have recently taken a further step with the installation of defibrillators in the factory, to prevent risks and aware of the importance of the health of its workers, the company has just acquired and installed defibrillators in its Guijuelo plant.
The aim is to minimize risks and provide first aid in the event of cardiac arrest. To ensure its proper application, employees from each work area of the factory participated in a course last week on how to handle a medical emergency. They learned how to correctly position the device, which is capable of independently diagnosing and treating cardiac arrest caused by ventricular fibrillation or pulseless ventricular tachycardia.
In Spain, defibrillators have been progressively installed in most airports, as well as in large shopping centers, common areas of hospitals and sports centers, where they have saved many lives.
