Aljomar returns to Ronda for the 15th edition of the Olive Cutter Competition

Once again, the Aljomar family is traveling to Ronda to enjoy the ham carving competition, which celebrates its 15th edition this year. This event takes place on May 21st at the Palacio de Santo Domingo at 11:00 AM. The now-traditional Ronda ham carving competition is organized by the Aljomar family, friends and collaborators, and the Ronda tourism board. Eight ham carvers, both national and international, will be judged by an impartial panel who will select the competition champion. It is essential that all participants be members of the ANCJ (National Association of Ham Carvers). This winner will advance to the Spanish National Ham Carving Final, held annually by the National Association of Ham Carvers.

The jury will not only choose the winner, but will also select the second and third place winners, as well as the best creative free-form dish. The prizes will be: First place: €300, trophy and certificate. Second place: €200, trophy and certificate. Third place: €100, trophy and certificate. Best creative free dish: Vicente Becerra Trophy and certificate. All winners will receive media coverage from the contest organizers (television, radio and press).
