Aljomar Donates €2,000 to the Aladina Foundation / Cascajares[/caption] Aljomar was present, once again, at the Cascajares Traditional Capon Auction at the Palace Hotel in Madrid . This high-level charity event, held annually around this time for the past 18 years, was dedicated to the Aladina Foundation , an organization that provides comprehensive support to children, teenagers, and families affected by cancer. Aljomar Jamones' presence at this altruistic event is a long-standing tradition on our calendar, but this year, to celebrate our upcoming 25th anniversary , we went even further. We presented the Aladina Foundation with a €2,000 donation, raised through the sale of products in our catalog marked with the 'solidarity product' seal. Of course, we also bid on the capons , and naturally, during the event, we contributed by offering a tasting of Tributo Don Alfonso Iberian acorn-fed ham and Iberian acorn-fed loin. It was an exceptional gala hosted by model Juncal Rivero, alongside tenor José Manuel Zapata. Flavia Hohenlohe from Sotheby's returned to conduct the auction, wielding the gavel to auction off the 10 Cascajares capons like true works of art. The 18th Cascajares Capon Auction was, as always, a resounding success! It raised over €40,000 to help the users and volunteers of the Aladina Foundation.
Cascajares, a partner company of Aljomar, is a great example of solidarity, and we follow their progress!
JAMONES ALJOMAR's participation in Cascajares' traditional charitable initiative is part of its Corporate Social Responsibility plan for 2017, a particularly important year for the brand as it celebrates its 25th anniversary. Under the motto "It tastes great to help others," the company has been collaborating since the beginning of the year with various local social causes, donating €1 for every one of these products in customer orders. The most recent donation of €2,000 was presented in early November to the Salamanca branch of the Red Madre Foundation , a non-profit organization that supports women during pregnancy, expectant mothers with limited financial resources, or those facing psychological or family difficulties. Previously, organizations such as Pyfano , the association of family members and friends of children with cancer, and ADAA , the Balearic Islands Association for Support and Accompaniment of Patients, have also benefited from this support. Aljomar is very aware of its corporate social responsibility, hence its sensitivity to social causes in its community and its regular collaboration with numerous organizations: Pyfano (children with cancer), Aerscyl (the Castile and León Association for Rare Diseases), ADAA (the Balearic Islands Association for Families of Patients), the Castile and León Association of the Deaf and Blind , the Salamanca Blood Donors Association , the University of Salamanca's Social Cooperation Fund , and Red Madre Salamanca, among others.
