Aljomar is present at the II Family Business Congress of C and L

Tomorrow, June 18, 2015, we travel to Valbuena de Duero, in Valladolid, to attend what is surely the most important event for family businesses in the region in 2015. More than one hundred owners of the leading family businesses , as well as representatives from the political, economic, and business sectors of the region , will celebrate the 2nd Family Business Congress of Castile and León . The meeting will last two days, June 18 and 19 , and will address various aspects related to the growth and competitiveness of family businesses. Participants will analyze how the owning family and non-family managers coexist within a large company , how entrepreneurship is fostered , how innovation occurs globally , and how to overcome adversity. Jamones Aljomar has been part of the Association for 5 years and we are fully convinced of the relevance and importance of our companies for the maintenance of the current economic system, hence our commitment and interest in attending this important regional event. family business The first day will open with high-profile international testimonials, including those from the heads of the British shoe company Clark and María Belón , a Spanish survivor of the Indian Ocean tsunami that inspired the film "The Impossible." Juan Verde , co-international director of President Barack Obama's reelection campaign and advisor to the US president on international economics, sustainability, and the Hispanic community, will also speak about innovative management and leadership strategies, using Obama's case as an example. The 15th Anniversary of the Family Forum , which brings together young people from our member companies, will be the focus of the second day of the congress. The next generations of family businesses will address the challenges they face. We will be joined by young entrepreneurs such as Gerardo Fernández, president and CEO of Chocolates Trapa ; Juan Pablo Bannatyne, manager of Ambrosio Pérez Jewelry ; and Pedro Ruiz, director of the Pago de Carraovejas Winery . The discussion will be moderated by Mónica Zarzuela, president of the Family Forum of Castile and León. This final day will conclude with another roundtable discussion, exploring real-world case studies to understand how family businesses should prepare for growth in an increasingly competitive environment . This will include an engaging discussion with the CEOs of Osborne , Ignacio Osborne; Europac , based in Palencia, José Miguel Isidro; Grupo Siro , Juan Manuel González Serna; and Chocolates Valor , Pedro López.
