He will donate the €3,000 raised from the sale of his 'solidarity products' in the second quarter of the year
Once again, Aljomar travels to Mallorca to be present at the 13th Renault Llucmajor Charity Golf Tournament , which will take place on Saturday, July 8th , an annual event organized in favor of ADAA, the Association for the Support of the Sick in the Balearic Islands .
This year, in addition to being an official sponsor of the event, along with companies such as Renault, Air Europa or Caixa Bank… we will collaborate more actively with the entity and take advantage of the event to deliver the funds obtained in the second quarter of the year through our 'solidarity product'.
Under the slogan "It tastes great to help others," JAMONES ALJOMAR launched this initiative this year to raise funds for local social causes as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility plan. Aljomar is donating €1 per product for every 2017 order placed by customers that includes products bearing this seal. The money raised in the first quarter of the year (€2,750) was donated to Pyfano, an association for children with cancer in Castile and León.
This time, the €3,000 raised will go to ADAA, an association that does commendable work supporting the families of patients in the Balearic Islands who, for their treatment, have to travel to other parts of the mainland; with the expenses and inconveniences that this entails.
To make these transfers easier, the association has been providing assistance for over 13 years to 1,650 families have been relocated from the Balearic Islands to other autonomous communities due to serious illness. They provide support and assistance to these families, and manage temporary accommodation for those relocated.
Iberian flavor at the tournament's gala dinner
One of ADAA's support initiatives is the golf tournament that has been held for years at the Mallorca Son Antem Golf Resort & SPA – Marriott and serves to raise funds and continue providing services to the beneficiaries of the Association.
Aljomar collaborates, as a sponsor, in this event, which is usually attended by the deputy director of Jamones Aljomar, José Luis Sánchez; as well as master cutters from Aljomar, to provide the Iberian touch in the gala dinner with our star products, the 100% Iberian breed acorn-fed ham and 100% Iberian breed acorn-fed loin.
More than 400 people from Mallorcan society will gather that day for the gala dinner, held to raise money so that this association can continue its work. Each year the event surpasses previous years in terms of participation, attendance, and funds raised, and we are confident that this year will be no different.
