Solidarity is one of the pillars that sustain the daily life of the Aljomar Family. Therefore, despite 2020 being a very difficult year for everyone, their Corporate Social Responsibility initiatives have not suffered; rather, they have been maintained and intensified to support the commendable work carried out by various social organizations in their community.
Jamones Aljomar has allocated €15,000 in solidarity funds to associations such as Pyfano (children with Cancer), Aerscyl (association of rare diseases of Castilla y León), ADAA (association of Help to relatives of patients of the Balearic Islands) , Spanish Association against Cancer , Cáritas or Red Cross –through the San Silvestre solidarity race in Salamanca-.
The company thus reinforces its commitment to society and does so thanks to the permanent campaign 'It tastes great to HELP others' and the 'Solidarity Product' seal, which centralize the funds destined for collaboration with NGOs and non-profit entities.
Social projects related to sports , as promoters of healthy living and essential values, are also a focus of Aljomar's Corporate Social Responsibility initiatives. One such project, in which the Aljomar family is deeply involved, is the social and charitable work carried out by former footballer Benjamín Zarandona in conjunction with the Real Betis Balompié Foundation, providing training for children in Equatorial Guinea and supporting an orphanage in Malabo.
In addition, Jamones Aljomar continues to promote its role as a sponsor of various clubs, especially children's clubs, such as the Bejarana Cycling School Moises Dueñas, VelSalamanca Athletics Club and CD Vóley Río Duero Soria , among others.
