Planning Aljomar's participation in the Cascajares Charity Capon Auction is one of our Christmas traditions. So the time has come, and we're all set to attend this important charitable event next Monday, November 26th. It's organized by the Cascajares Foundation to benefit the Aladina Foundation, an organization that provides comprehensive support to children, teenagers, and families affected by cancer.
The Aljomar Group will be attending and actively participating in the auction, which will be attended by our Sales Director, Basilio Grande. Furthermore, we will be accompanied by a master ham carver and will offer attendees a tasting of 100% acorn-fed Iberian ham and 100% acorn-fed Iberian pork loin .
In 2017, funds raised during the auction allowed the Aladina Foundation to expand its team of psycho-oncologists from four to five professionals. This team provided support to 449 children with cancer, 42 parents, and 18 siblings last year. The goal for 2018 is to add one more person to this wonderful team of professionals working at the Foundation. At Jamones Aljomar, we hope our collaboration will help us achieve this objective.
The 19th Cascajares Capon Auction will feature three sensational masters of ceremonies: Leo Harlem, Samantha Vallejo-Nágera, and Santiago Segura. Sotheby's will be in charge of conducting the bidding for the 10 animals up for auction.
