Last Saturday, November 10, 2018, we had the pleasure of attending the 9th Annual Charity Dinner of Red Madre de Salamanca. It was a wonderful event, and we felt it was the perfect opportunity to present them with a new check for €1,500, the result of Aljomar's 'It Tastes Great to Help Others' campaign. There was also a raffle, with Aljomar donating an Iberian ham as the prize.
The funds donated to Red Madre were obtained through sales of Aljomar products bearing the 'Solidarity Product' seal. With this CSR project, JAMONES ALJOMAR supports various social causes in its community by donating €1 for every one of these products in customer orders.
Red Madre is a non-profit organization that supports women during their pregnancies. The Salamanca branch expressed its deep gratitude for the donation check, the second one we've given them since the launch of the 'It feels good to help others' campaign.

This foundation was created in 2007 with the purpose of establishing a solidarity network to support, advise, and assist women throughout Spain in overcoming any challenges arising from an unplanned pregnancy. The money raised is used to improve the lives and pregnancy of expectant mothers with limited financial resources or who are in a vulnerable psychological or family situation. Specifically, the money raised at the Charity Dinner will be used to purchase baby products.
At Jamones Aljomar, we are committed to our community, and that's why we are constantly moving forward and deepening our commitment. In fact, we have just presented our first Corporate Social Responsibility Report, which outlines our plans in this area. At Aljomar, we firmly believe that "being socially responsible is good business," and that's why we have a strong dedication to social causes. Our collaboration has extended beyond Red Madre to include the Spanish Association Against Cancer ( AECC ), Pyfano (an organization for families of children with cancer), AERSCYL ( the association for rare diseases in Castile and León), Cascajares- Fundación Aladina , and ADAA (the Balearic Islands association for families of sick people).
