This week we enjoyed the virtual company of a group of 6th grade students from Filiberto Villalobos School in Guijuelo, participants in the new edition of the "Family Business in the Classroom" entrepreneurship program, now in a digital format. This activity, organized by the Family Business Association of Castile and León, aims to convey to young people what it means to be a family business owner and its associated values.
The students' virtual visit to the Aljomar facilities began with an online connection from the Deputy Director, Carmen Sánchez, daughter of the company's founders, who explained how they work and what the process is for making the Iberian meats and sausages that they produce and distribute to more than 30 countries around the world.
The students also had the opportunity to watch a comprehensive video produced for the occasion by the family business from Castile and León, in which they learned about each of the procedures followed at Jamones Aljomar. After learning more about the Aljomar family, Carmen Sánchez had a lively chat with them.
As this Family Business initiative was relaunched, despite the circumstances, José Luis Sánchez, Deputy Director of Grupo Aljomar, expressed his gratitude for the opportunity to participate. “to pass on our family business values to future generations, and to transfer a positive image of entrepreneurs and business families, and their leading role in overcoming the crisis we are experiencing.”
