These days we have had the good news of the renewal of the agreement between the Spanish Federation of Food and Beverage Industries ( FIAB ) and the Alimentaria trade fair, in whose Meat Committee José Luis Sánchez, assistant to the management of Jamones Aljomar, is vice president.

This alliance aims to contribute to boosting the internationalization, innovation and sustainability of the sector.
With the renewal of this agreement, the work developed in previous editions continues through "actions that highlight the opening of new markets and the increase in exports, constant innovation and the unavoidable commitment to the sustainability of the food and beverage sector, as the country's leading industry," as explained by the organizers of this event, which is already an international benchmark for the food industry and its value chain.
Mauricio García de Quevedo, general director of FIAB , an organization with the highest national representation of associations and companies in the sector, is aware that “Alimentaria is an essential meeting for Spanish industries, a global showcase from which to promote the internationalization of our companies and products, drive and share innovation and promote the sustainability of the sector.”

At the same time, and according to J. Antonio Valls, general manager of Alimentaria Exhibitions , FIAB is a “great backbone of the entire productive and associative fabric of the Spanish food industry and its mission to give visibility to the commitment of this sector to economic, social and environmental sustainability” .
Such statements support the advisability of renewing the agreement, which will once again serve as a driving force in the next edition of Alimentaria, which will take place at the Gran Via venue of Fira de Barcelona, from March 18 to 21, 2024.

José Luis Sánchez, as a member of Alimentaria and as Deputy Director of Aljomar, one of the leading meat companies in the sector, believes that “this consolidated relationship between FIAB and Alimentaria is fundamental to maintaining and advancing the already successful development of the Fair,” which in its 2022 edition featured 3,000 exhibiting companies, 29% of them international, and more than 100,000 visitors, 23% of whom came from 150 countries. Jamones Aljomar has been attending Alimentaria for many years, and this regularity allows it to have complete confidence in its potential, its international reach, and its strength as a meeting point for the various players in the market.
