The Food Industry Association of Castilla y León, Vitartis , held its annual General Assembly on March 14 at the Dehesa de los Canónigos Winery, consolidating its management structure and strategy for the future, launching its new purpose, Growing by making others grow.
The event began with a welcome address from Iván and Belén Sanz of Bodega Dehesa de los Canónigos, followed by Pedro Ruiz's final speech as president of Vitartis, as he is stepping down. The assembly ratified Santiago Miguel of Grupo Hermi as his successor, ensuring continuity in the association's social leadership. José Luis Sánchez was also confirmed in his role as vice president, further strengthening the management team.
The assembly served as a meeting point for industry professionals, where new members were introduced. The importance of collaboration and mutual growth was emphasized, a theme explored by Juan Carlos Cubeiro, winner of the 2022 National Management Award, in his presentation, "Growing by Making Others Grow."
Concepción Sanz, director of the Banco Santander research center, provided a detailed analysis of the international geopolitical and macroeconomic situation, offering a crucial perspective for the future of the food sector in the region.
The event not only focused on corporate and economic aspects, but also offered moments for networking and relaxation, including a lunch enlivened by the magician Roncero and a visit to the Dehesa de los Canónigos Winery (Pesquera de Duero-Valladolid).
The Vitartis 2024 General Assembly marked another milestone in the consolidation of the food sector in Castilla y León, reaffirming its commitment to innovation, leadership and sustainable growth.
