ALJOMAR will accompany CASCAJARES at its traditional capon auction at the Palace Hotel in Madrid

We continue to support charitable causes like this one, which we love for its purpose and elegance. We're talking about the Cascajares Capon Auction , a Christmas classic, now in its 17th edition on Monday, November 28, 2016. And we'll be there, with our master ham carver, offering attendees the finest products from Aljomar: Tributo Don Alfonso Iberian Acorn-Fed Ham , Iberian Acorn-Fed Loin, and Pure Sheep's Milk Cheese. Last year, in addition to contributing our exquisite ham, we even participated in the bidding and brought a beautiful capon back to Guijuelo. It was a true pleasure. The 17th Cascajares Auction will be held in the Neptune Room of the Palace Hotel in Madrid at 8:30 p.m., where the 10 Cascajares capons will be on display, ready to be auctioned to the highest bidder. As always, the money raised from attendees (€30 per ticket) plus the money from the auction itself will be used entirely to fund scholarships for the employment of eight young people from the PRODIS Foundation . This year, the organizers hope to raise around €40,000. This year, the gala features the generous collaboration of Anne Igartiburu and Juanma López Iturriaga as hosts. Furthermore, all auctions will be conducted, as has been the custom in recent years, by Flavia Hohenlohe of Sotheby's . Her gavel blows will drive up the price of the capons as if they were genuine works of art. charity-auction-of-capons-564x324 Over the course of 15 years, the Cascajares auction has raised more than 650,000 euros , which have been allocated to cancer scholarships, funding for Nuevo Futuro homes, and aid for the integration of people with disabilities into the workforce.
