Aljomar will be at the National Congress of Family Businesses 2025 in Burgos

XXVIII Family Business Congress

From October 19 to 21, Burgos will host the XXVIII National Congress of Family Business , one of the most important business forums in Spain, organized by the Family Business Institute with the collaboration of the Family Business Association of Castilla y León (EFCL).

Jamones Aljomar will participate once again in this event, reaffirming its commitment to the values that define family businesses: roots, sustainability, innovation, and a vision for the future. During the congress, attendees will be able to sample Aljomar's 100% Iberian acorn-fed ham , winner of the Spanish Food Award for Best Iberian Ham, as it will be served at the cocktail receptions and lunches scheduled at the Fórum Evolución Burgos, the event's headquarters.

XXVIII Family Business Congress

For the Aljomar family, an active member of the EFCL since 2011, this event represents a new opportunity to share their experience as a leading family business in the Iberian ham sector. As stated in their 2023-2024 Sustainability Report, “family unity, honesty, and perseverance” are pillars that have guided the group's growth from its beginnings to its current position as one of the leading Iberian ham producers in Spain. By participating in this event, the Aljomar family reinforces a trajectory based on family unity and a sustainable business model committed to its community, because, as Deputy Director José Luis Sánchez explains, “economic growth only makes sense if it is accompanied by a positive impact on the environment and society.”

XXVIII Family Business Congress

Aljomar's management will attend the sessions of the Burgos Evolution Forum, which will feature high-level presentations, with the participation of His Majesty King Felipe VI, José Juan Ruiz (Elcano Royal Institute), Marc Murtra (Telefónica), Fatih Birol (International Energy Agency), and Nadia Calviño, President of the European Investment Bank. Key topics will also be addressed, such as financing and competitiveness, local roots as an engine of growth, and Europe's role in the new global landscape, along with success stories from large family-owned groups like Antolin, Vicky Foods, and Chocolates Valor.

The congress also includes a full social program, with visits to the Museum of Human Evolution, Burgos Cathedral and the Atapuerca archaeological sites, as well as a Gala Dinner at the Saldañuela Palace, spaces where excellent products such as Aljomar Iberian products will be offered.

XXVIII Family Business Congress 1

With a presence in over 35 countries and a controlled production cycle that guarantees traceability from the Vera Vieja estate to the curing process in Guijuelo, Aljomar represents the perfect balance between tradition and modernity. Its participation in the National Congress of Family Businesses is further proof of its commitment to the values that define its origins, its present, and its future.

Aljomar combines tradition and innovation through a controlled production cycle, from raising Iberian pigs on the Vera Vieja farm to the natural curing of the hams in Guijuelo. This model guarantees the traceability and excellence of each product, reflecting the family's commitment to quality and sustainability.

Participation in the National Congress of Family Businesses is a clear reflection of Aljomar's commitment to the business community and to the values that have made its history an example of effort, vision and deep roots.
