You know that Iberian ham goes with everything… or almost everything… With the arrival of Holy Week, we decided to prepare some Easter French toast with the original touch of our fantastic Iberian Acorn-Fed Ham .
To begin, you have to prepare the French toast and you have two options.
You can opt for the most traditional, sweet French toast, for which you will use slices of bread soaked in milk and/or wine and with a touch of sugar or cinnamon, and then coated in egg to finally fry them.
But you could also make savory French toast . To do this, we suggest dipping the bread slices in grated tomato, dressed with extra virgin olive oil, and then toasting them on a griddle.
The next step is as simple as generously placing the ham slices on top. You might want to add a light base of tomato jam or the grated tomato you used to soak the bread slices before toasting them, or even some fresh greens like tender shoots, lamb's lettuce, or arugula.
