The Vitartis General Assembly will once again have a Salamanca flavor, as it will be held on February 21st at the Archbishop Fonseca College of the University of Salamanca. The occasion warrants it, and, as the event organizers explained, this location was chosen because it coincides with the Eighth Centenary of the founding of the academic institution.
The event will once again be "the quintessential meeting point for the region's food industry," and Jamones Aljomar will be there because of its commitment to the socio-economic environment of the Community .
Vitartis has convened its more than 60 members to analyze the situation of the sector in Castile and León once again this year. The sessions will take place in the morning, and the meeting will conclude with a networking lunch, during which Aljomar will offer a tasting of Tributo Don Alfonso Ibérico de Bellota ham, freshly sliced by one of the company's master carvers.
The Aljomar Group joined Vitartis in 2014 and, since then, has embraced its commitment to promoting the economic and social development of the Region by "fostering innovation and improvement in all areas and representing the interests of the sector before institutions, public administrations and economic and social organizations."
Vitartis' partners, which together have a turnover exceeding 3.7 billion euros annually and account for more than 40% of the sector's business and employment, include prominent members such as Grupo Hermi, Grupo Siro, Pascual, Cascajares, and technology partners such as the University of Salamanca, the European University Miguel de Cervantes, and the Regional Union of Agricultural Cooperatives of Castilla y León (Urcacyl).
