Italians greatly appreciate our Jamón Ibérico de Bellota and reject comparisons with Prosciutto, as they are aware that these are two completely different products.
I'm left with a comment made by a restaurateur while suggesting to one of his colleagues that he try our cured meats: "There's no doubt about it, these Spaniards are the kings of cured meats too!"
Quite a source of pride, isn't it?
