Jamones Aljomar is attending the Aecoc Congress on Mass Consumption this week in Valencia, a key event for the industry and distribution sector, which is now fully booked. Under the slogan "TO BE or NOT TO BE," the association is bringing together more than 1,000 executives tomorrow and the day after in an atmosphere of dialogue and collaboration to address the sector's main challenges.
José Luis Sánchez , assistant to the director of Jamones Aljomar, and Basilio Grande , commercial director, attend this meeting, a gathering point to learn about trends and analyze the economic and social landscape.
Innovation and digitalization of the sector, or new purchasing trends, such as specialization in small formats and healthy products, will set the trends, according to the experts attending the event.
AECOC is one of the organizations to which Jamones Aljomar belongs. In fact, the company collaborates with the organization on two of its major annual events: the meat and processed products congress and the hospitality congress. At these events, the excellence of our hams and cured meats from acorn-fed Iberian pigs has been promoted.Iberian meats through the Ibérico Meat brand of Aljoma r.
For both AECOC and Aljomar, 2017 is a year of special significance, as the association celebrates its 40th anniversary, coinciding with the 25th anniversary of Jamones Aljomar, created on December 7, 1992 by Alfonso Sánchez and his wife, Carmen.
Twenty-five years later, the hard work, perseverance, and dedication of this family have resulted in a unique product and brand, now present throughout much of the world, and a benchmark in the Iberian ham sector in the Spanish market. The quality and consistency of their production is undoubtedly the secret to this success, achieved through their Controlled Production and Processing Cycle . Everything is managed internally, using their own resources: from the breeding and feeding of the Iberian pigs ( Vera Vieja ) to slaughter ( El Navazo Slaughterhouse ) and processing ( Factory in Guijuelo ).
