This week we will be at the First Congress of the Agri-food Industry of Castilla y León; an important event organized by Vitartis to “analyze the challenges of the sector, propose solutions and connect companies”.
Jamones Aljomar will attend the various scheduled activities and, in addition, we will be present with our master ham cutters , offering participants a tasting of 100% Iberian acorn-fed ham, hand-carved.
The congress will be held on Thursday, February 28th and Friday, March 1st at the Lienzo Norte Congress Center in Ávila . According to the organizers, there will be roundtables “with leading businesspeople from the agri-food sector, interactive sessions, and presentations by international experts, who will address topics of paramount importance and interest to the sector .” People, innovation, sustainability, and competitiveness will be the central themes of the working sessions.
The event features renowned professionals such as Juan Verde, Andy Stalman, Daniel Ramón, Verónica Pascual, Pablo Oliete, and Nieves Jerez. Among the selected topics, those related to sustainability and environmental improvement, innovation models, keys to competitiveness, Industry 4.0, new technologies, and the role of women in management are particularly noteworthy.
This event, which will be “the meeting point for the agri-food industry of Castile and León,” serves to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the founding of Vitartis. Over the past decade, Vitartis has successfully achieved a significant portion of its main objectives, as confirmed by its current president, Beatriz Escudero.
Jamones Aljomar has been part of Vitartis since 2014, and during this time we have been able to see firsthand how it has contributed to the revitalization of innovation and technology in the associated industries, the extension of the culture of collaboration between companies, the promotion of training, especially for management teams; and the permanent dialogue with public administrations as a representative entity of the agri-food sector of Castilla y León.
Today, this business organization has 110 members, employing 12,000 people and generating a combined turnover of over €3.8 billion. Within the sector in Castile and León, it represents 40% of turnover and 35% of employment.
Vitartis plays an important representative role, especially before public administrations, in defense of the agri-food sector of Castilla y León.
