This week we attended the 5th Regional Congress of Family Businesses, which will take place on June 14th and 15th in Valbuena de Duero (Valladolid), organized by the Family Business Association of Castile and León (EFCL). As in previous years, Jamones Aljomar will participate in this leading economic and business event alongside more than 150 family business owners from the region.
Among the highlights of the event, we will have the opportunity to meet Antoine Mayaud, president of the Mulliez Group's Family Committee , owner of companies such as Decathlon, Leroy Merlin, and Alcampo . He will share his experience promoting entrepreneurship and fostering family ties within this business group, one of the world's largest and the wealthiest in Europe. The Mulliez Group is a family business with 700 shareholders and 600,000 employees worldwide, distributed across approximately 100 companies, including well-known names such as Pimkie, Norauto, and Midas .
This renowned businessman will explain how to "Renew the company by involving the family." His presentation will be on the first day of the congress, which will also feature bullfighter Miguel Ángel Perera, who will speak about the culture of hard work.
The second day will be dedicated to analyzing the importance of growth in family businesses, and will feature presentations by entrepreneurs such as Jon Riberas, president of Gonvarri Steel Industries; Ginés Clemente, CEO of Aciturri ; and Gerardo Gutiérrez, founder of Gadea Grupo Farmacéutico .
