
José Luis Sánchez, Deputy Director of Jamones Aljomar , has been appointed Vice President of the Meat Committee of Alimentaria, where Ana Bosch of Grupo Noel is the current President. This working group, of which Aljomar has been a member since 2021, is responsible for organizing Intercarn Alimentaria , the most important meat trade fair in Spain and one of the most significant in Europe. The 2022 edition hosted 326 exhibitors, occupying an exhibition space of nearly 14,000 m².
With the new position assumed by the Jamones Aljomar executive, the company reinforces its commitment to this important agri-food event , which the Aljomar Family has been attending for 25 years. José Luis Sánchez thus joins the effort to enhance the excellent work carried out to date by Alimentaria, increase the importance of the meat sector, and promote internationalization and sustainability.

The Alimentaria Meat Committee includes other representative companies from across the country such as Noel, Grupo Costa, Tello, Bon area, El Pozo and Coren , as well as interprofessional organizations in the sector such as Interporc, Aecoc, Anafric and Fecic.
The next edition of Alimentaria will be held in 2024, from March 18 to 21 at Fira Barcelona , with excellent participation forecasts, taking into account the success achieved at the 2022 event, in which 3,000 companies from 57 countries exhibited, in an exhibition area of 85,000 m2 and with the attendance of more than 100,000 visitors.

Alimentaria is an essential meeting point for professionals in the food, beverage, and foodservice industries. The 2024 event will feature the addition of new sectors such as OrganicFoods (organic and ecological products) and FineFoods (gourmet and premium food and beverages).
