Jamones Aljomar maintains a close friendship with the Siro Group and its founders, and, like us, they belong to the Family Business Association of Castile and León . We believe that initiatives like theirs are of great value to the agri-food community, contributing to the sector's progress and sustainability, its growth, and its increased value within the national economy. We fully share their work philosophy and therefore wish to congratulate them and help promote the call for proposals.
In this first edition, the Prize will include a cash award of €15,000 and a runner-up prize of €5,000 for specific projects from Castile and León. This award is open to individuals and public or private institutions that work in "the innovation and technological application of agricultural developments aimed at cereal production and, preferably, at the development of the wheat value chain."
Works intended for other cereals or agricultural techniques that, due to their indirect contribution to this value chain, have a beneficial effect on wheat cultivation may also be submitted.
