The Sustainability Report of Jamones Aljomar is published once again to publicize "its future plans and the work carried out, and it records the fundamental pillars that support our philosophy of life, which is also the work philosophy of the Aljomar Family," explains José Luis Sánchez, Deputy Director.
For the fifth consecutive year, the ham company details the development and results of its economic, environmental, and social activities, while also setting objectives and declaring Jamones Aljomar's commitments for the near future. Its controlled production and processing cycle, commitment to health and food safety, solidarity with the surrounding community, utmost respect for the environment, and continuous improvement in its work teams are the cornerstones of the Aljomar Family's business project, their passion for Iberian pork, and their desire to expand a global gastronomy where Iberian pork takes center stage.
Among the achievements highlighted in the 2021 Annual Report is the definitive launch of its line of 100% Natural Iberian Cured Meats, which offers consumers chorizo and salchichón “with the unique flavor of homemade products,” as stated by chef Martín Berasategui during the presentation at Salón Gourmet. Also noteworthy this year are the advancements in the production of organic hams and cured meats, aligned with a transition plan that began just over three years ago, developing more sustainable livestock farming practices for Iberian pigs. Furthermore, Jamones Aljomar has achieved IFS Food certification for food safety and quality. In addition, it has implemented various improvements in its best practices for labor relations and its relationships with its team of professionals.
