José Luis Sánchez, Deputy Director of Jamones Aljomar, is in Segovia to participate in the General Assembly of the Family Business Association of Castile and León (EFCL), which is taking place at the Juan Bravo Theater in Segovia. The meeting brings together the heads of the region's leading family businesses and, this year, includes the election of a new president. Members will elect César Pontvianne (Plásticos Durex) from Salamanca, who succeeds José Miguel Isidro (Grupo Europac) after two years in office. Grupo Aljomar would like to extend its sincerest congratulations to César Pontvianne on his new position and its gratitude to José Miguel Isidro for his dedication to the region's Family Business Association.
Minister Montoro will close the Family Business Assembly of Castile and León
During the Assembly, there will be numerous events of interest, such as the round table discussion on “Velatia: A Family Business Success Story,” with Javier Ormazabal, President of Velatia, and Miguel Ángel Gallo, Professor Emeritus. We will also be able to attend the conference: “Society and Business in Spain,” by Antonio Garrigues Walker, Honorary President of Garrigues, and José Miguel Isidro, President of Europac. We are also confident that the Closing Ceremony will be of great interest, as we will have the presence of Cristóbal Montoro, Minister of Finance and Public Administration.
More than two decades dedicated to the family business in the region
The Family Business Association of Castile and León is a non-profit organization founded in 1997 to advocate for family businesses in the region and highlight their importance as drivers of the productive economy and job creation. In this context, the organization has served to promote entrepreneurial culture and the continuity of these types of companies. Over the years, it has evolved positively and now brings together more than one hundred family businesses from Castile and León, leaders in their respective sectors, with a combined turnover equivalent to 15% of the regional GDP and employing 7% of the region's working population (private sector). Jamones Aljomar joined the EFCyL in 2010 , thus joining other prominent companies in the Community such as Cascajares, Plásticos Durex, Europac, Global Exchange, Grupo Siro, Bodegas Hermanos del Villar, Cartonajes Izquierdo, Chocolates Trapa, Grupo Norte, Grupo Inzamac, Hedisa, Isidoro Blázquez, Priasa, Grupo Limcasa, Clavo Congelados, Postigo e Hijos, Cecinas Pablo or Bodega de Carraovejas.
