Jamones Aljomar has obtained the BSAFE guarantee seal that certifies its correct adherence to the Covid-19 Management Policy of the Family Business of Castilla y León , committing to maintain its implementation and compliance to guarantee the hygiene, cleanliness and social distancing of its employees, customers and other related third parties.
Since the beginning of the pandemic, as explained by Deputy Director José Luis Sánchez , “we have become aware of the problem and have therefore adopted all available means to prevent the spread of the virus,” carrying out intensive prevention and control efforts against Covid-19. Thus, throughout these months, Jamones Aljomar has implemented all possible measures to protect the health of its employees, customers, and partners, while simultaneously maintaining its production and supply chain. Furthermore, it has implemented its own protocol, progressively expanding its hygiene and sanitation system to reduce the risk of transmission.
In addition to all this, there is now adherence to the EFCL's COVID-19 Management Policy, which includes some of the measures that were already in place at Aljomar, such as temperature checks, entry and exit of staff, both internal and external, increased frequency of health measures or use of masks, among others.
Obtaining the BSAFE seal certifies that Jamones Aljomar complies with preventive actions, risk identification standards, protection measures, hygiene, disinfection and cleaning of individuals and facilities; and response and follow-up protocols for confirmed or at-risk cases of Covid-19.
The objective of the Covid-19 Management Policy of Family Businesses in Castile and León, It is “to establish the principles, measures and guidelines for action aimed at guaranteeing the safety, both of ourselves (employees) and of others (customers and suppliers), and the continuity of activities after the State of Alarm period, as well as to reinforce the confidence of consumers and users of the members of Family Business Castilla y León, contributing to the reactivation of the economy in the region through the effective management of activities in coexistence with COVID-19.”
Following the audit carried out by KPMG for Family Businesses in Castilla y León, in addition to Jamones Aljomar, there are already about twenty companies that have received the BSAFE certification and seal.
