As every year, we encourage you to participate in the San Silvestre Salmantina on December 29th wearing the shirt of the Brotherhood of Blood Donors of Salamanca , which has been sponsored by Jamones Aljomar for several years.
We are deeply committed to health and sport, and that is why, around this time of year, we link our support to the San Silvestre Salmantina race as the main sponsor and our regular collaboration with Blood Donors.
This year, the number of participants in the race has increased, with 7,777 bib numbers issued, 110 more than in 2018. Official registration is already closed, but we are sure that, as in previous years, even more people from Salamanca will unofficially join this traditional Christmas activity; we will also once again enjoy the runners' creative costumes. This year, the prize money for both the race and the competitions has been increased, and the 'charity timing chip' now carries a prize of €7,777 (previously €6,000).
The San Silvestre race celebrates its 36th edition this year, having been held since 1984. We hope all the athletes enjoy the beautiful Salamanca course and we hope many will run wearing the Blood Donors t-shirt because that will mean the Brotherhood has loyal support and enough donations to meet its needs.
