If we can find images like these of our farm, how can we not do everything possible to care for the environment and nature? The land and the animals are our raw materials, the beginning of everything.

For this reason, Jamones Aljomar is currently studying its greenhouse gas emissions. The company already holds the 'Calculated Zero CO2 Label', an important step that certifies its efforts and environmental awareness, as well as its commitment to proactive policies aimed at reducing the impact of its production process on the biosphere.
Aljomar thus closes the first phase of the Greenhouse Gas Compensation Project, which it joined last summer, at the proposal of ASAM (Salamanca Association of Mountain Agriculture).
The project consists of three phases: the calculation of emissions – with which the Calculated Zero CO2 Label is obtained –, the commitment to the reduction of emissions and, finally, the compensation through reforestation programs – which implies the recognition of an integral commitment and obtaining the Zero CO2 Seal.
At Jamones Aljomar we are already in the second step, preparing our Reduction Commitment to subsequently undertake the Carbon Footprint Compensation phase, with participation in reforestation projects of ASAM and the Ecology and Development Association.
