In accordance with their environment awareness, Jamones Aljomar is also a member of Ecoembes (the Spanish organisation for Extended Producer Responsibility) and, as such, has developed a comprehensive plan for the management of used packaging.

Ecoembalajes, Espana, S.A. is a non-profit organisation that manages the retrieval and recycling processing of plastic containers, cans and cartons (yellow container) and paper or cardboard packaging (blue container) throughout Spain.

The company’s management model is based on innovation, sustainability and the search for environmental and economic efficiency. This has led to an annual increase in the recycling of packaging in Spain, positioning itself in the frontline of European countries in this endeavour.
